I came into this program from the field of mental health. I knew a lot about trauma and how it is remembered in the body and manifested unconsciously in mind. I knew a little about how our nutritional choices impact our moods. I wanted to learn more about how to integrate the two. There are very few mental health professionals in my field that even talk about nutrition, and I find this to be a disservice to our clients and ourselves. The EHI experience has helped to guide me in the direction of bringing this together. We don’t have to limit our minds to thinking linearly. As noted, many times at EHI, the body wants to heal itself. I believe the mind-body-spirit wants to heal, we just must let the mind (ego) get out of the way. Thank you, EHI and Dr. H, for this amazing opportunity, and I look forward to more learning opportunities.
