1. The energy of food is not only its caloric measurement – food contains frequency which plays a major role in sustaining the health of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state.
2. Eating high-vibrational foods is linked to gut health – learn which foods to add to your nutritional regime today!
3. The 5 Elements Perspective – what foods are right for you?
We begin by asking a question from a deeper perspective: “Why do we need to eat food?” Most people (unfortunately) go about their daily routine, only providing the basic needs required for their bodies – eating, drinking, sleeping, etc. – with varying regard for what they eat. Western-based societies tend to focus on fad diets and/or measuring calories, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals while ignoring an essential point – food contains frequency/vibration, which plays a major role in sustaining the health of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state.
Ancient healing practices, like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), maintain the knowledge that every living organic element and any food item has its own energy, including water. Dr. Masaru Emoto’s research on water molecules shows how the molecular structure of water is affected by thoughts, words, sounds, intentions, music, and it also holds memory. Let’s not forget that our body is made up of approximately 60-70% water! Therefore, vibrant health is multi-dimensional, and maintaining a positive internal dialogue is also an essential key for healing and sustained wellbeing.
On that note, the science behind vibrational frequencies between food and the human body (physically and spiritually) is a synergistically entwined relationship based upon the age-old wisdom, which recognizes that the energy required for physical metabolism must be accompanied by the electromagnetic energy of foods in order to maintain health and balance. Simply stated, energy is the number one factor needed for life to exist; therefore, the quality of food and health connection is interlinked! The more life-force/frequency the foods that you eat contain, the more vibrant and healthier you become. (1) (2)
We live in an age of super energy sources; however, people are suffering from a biological energy crisis with chronic fatigue, tension and anxiety, inflammation, disease, and depression. Let’s explore the life force of food energetics – its relationship to gut health and which foods you can start incorporating into your daily routine to support your life force!

Food is clearly an essential part of life; we eat to satisfy hunger, to nourish our bodies, and to replenish our energy. Food also provides us with both physical and spiritual energy, which is harnessed through mindful and purposeful eating and nutrient-rich cooking methods.
The “energy” of food is often associated with measurable caloric energy; however, it is important to note, we are not discussing this method of measurement. We are going deeper into the understanding that our true nourishment is the life force (frequency) of the food itself. Therefore, the energy of the plant or creature we eat adds to our own energy/life force, with the most intense life-enhancing energy being that which comes from organically grown food sources.
Take, for example, when eating vibrant / energized whole organic foods that resonate with our body (assuming there are no Delayed Food Allergies), we are giving our digestive system a gift. It is easy for the body to metabolize, absorb, assimilate, and process the food and its nutrients. After eating energetically vibrant food, we have energy! On the other hand, much of the food available in restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, etc., is energetically “dead” food – often ultra-processed and sourced from conventionally grown sources that include GMO fruits, vegetables, and concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO). Instead of increasing your life force and vibrancy, these foods are flat-lining your energy while contributing to long-term chronic inflammatory health conditions. (3) (4)
What a wonderful world it would be if together we could spread education and awareness throughout a society of adults and children to only eat organic foods containing high frequency with sustainable properties that support healing and vitality! Can we sit with that for a moment and take in the increased development of true awareness and consciousness that can be achieved! This is not a new concept – it has been taught throughout history by healers, sages, medicine men from all walks of life – they understood how food energy connects to vitality and, in that, the health of the gut and the body as a whole.
Interestingly enough, TCM is a by-product of a spiritual practice – ancient Chinese healers had to be high-level Qigong masters before pursuing the healing modalities of the body. This spiritual understanding of Qi (also known as Prana, Life Force, Breath, etc.) was primary while their other talents and skills synergistically contributed to their many scholarly work, including medicine and healing.
Ancient sages understood the language of food vibration and its influence on overall health, including gut health. Eating high-vibrational, nutrient-dense foods that are whole, organic, and minimally processed is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, which can enhance overall health and vitality.
As we have learned in previous articles, and supported by scientific evidence, the health of the gut microbiome shapes the architecture of our physiological, metabolic, and mental conditions, including sleep and stress-related responses. A balanced microbiome can only be achieved by aiming for high-vibrational, organic, non-processed foods, including Non-GMO foods, which assist in supporting the immune system and help regulate inflammation. Consuming high-vibrational foods can positively affect gut health by:

It’s All About Energy! In TCM, healing is measured by observing an individual’s state of balance and not by standardized markers like in Western medicine. To achieve homeostasis and healthy organ function, TCM emphasizes food therapy for restoring digestion function, increasing Qi (life-force), and it sees the body through a variety of parameters, including heat, cold, moisture, and blood, for example. Therefore, to understand the statement “let food be thy medicine,” we must come to understand that the energetic life-force of what we eat is uncompromisable – eating GMO, ultra-processed, chemically ridden foods will NOT assist healing.
Based upon the 5 Elements Perspective used in TCM, the chakras and organs of the body corresponds to the 5 Elements – Fire (Heart/Small Intestines), Earth (Stomach/Pancreas), Metal (Lung/Large Intestines), Water (Kidney/Bladder) and Wood (Liver/Gallbladder) which synergistically manage the intake, transformation, and distribution of energy (Qi) and nutrients throughout the body to achieve balance, prevent disease and mental disharmony. In TCM expression of health conditions is described through the internal climate of the body. For example, one would decrease excess heat (i.e., inflammation) with cooling foods and reduce dampness (i.e., excess weight) with drying foods. Some examples include: (6) (7)
The examples below are strictly for educational purposes – if you have a medical condition, take medication, or have specific questions, contact your trusted health care provider.
How to balance excess damp – expressed as weight gain, fluid accumulation, watery discharges and mucus, lethargy, lumps and cysts, nausea, and feelings of over-sentimentality.
How to balance excess dryness – When the body is too dry, weight loss can occur, skin and mucous membranes become dry, gas, bloating occur, with feelings of fear and anxiety.
How to balance excess cold – feeling cold and weak, muscle spasms, feeling unmotivated, and emotionally withdrawn.
How to balance excess heat – inflammation, acidity, and emotions like irritability and anger.

Everything is Energy! We have learned that all living organisms possess their unique life-force frequency, and our food choices will determine if we are supporting our Qi – life force and healing or choosing to eat foods that contribute to dis-ease… It’s that simple.
By choosing “high-frequency” nutritious, energetic foods and eliminating unhealthy thoughts and relationships, we can raise our energy vibration, better connect to ourselves, reach higher consciousness, and connect with our higher source – God.
Keep in mind that the energy we are experiencing at the time of preparing food also contributes to the frequency of a meal – when we eat, we absorb the nutrients, but also the ‘energy’ infused into it, which influences our cellular function and overall health. So, the next time you sit down for a meal, consider not only the nutritional value but also the energetic qualities of what you’re about to eat. Take a moment to connect with your food, express gratitude, and embrace the vibrational gift it offers.
