What Makes Us Susceptible to Yeast & Mold?

When we are constantly feeding our bodies with foods that feed yeasts and molds, we are setting ourselves up for yeast overgrowth and toxic overload. This can be especially problematic if our home is filled with household chemicals or has excessive dampness that could promote mold growth.

Here are a few things you can do to clean up your body and your home:

How to Reverse the Effects of Candida & Mold Exposure

Focus on fueling your body with organic vegetables, proteins, healthy fats, and unprocessed starches. You could start your day with eggs, grass-fed meat, and organic sweet potatoes. Or give gold (Yukon) potatoes, whole-grain toast with butter, or avocado toast a try. Instead of sweetened foods, try starchy vegetables (like pumpkin), or whole grains (such as brown rice), quinoa, or legumes. Raw seeds and nuts, olive and coconut oils, and organic free-range animal products (eggs and meat especially) are also excellent options.
To prevent yeast and mold overgrowth, it’s important to avoid processed sweeteners. High-sugar cereals, oatmeal with dried fruit, and toast with jam can interfere with recovery. Even smoothies should be avoided while starving yeasts and detoxifying from molds.
Supportive herbs include berberine, echinacea, and stinging nettle (for its antihistamine properties).

Supplements that support the production of Diamine Oxidase (DAO) — a digestive enzyme that aids in the removal of histamine from the body — are critical. These nutrients include vitamin C (which supports immune function) and a methylated form of vitamin B complex. Additionally, zinc and copper (pumpkin seeds), glutathione (avocado and broccoli sprouts), and vitamin A (orange vegetables like carrots, sweet potato, and pumpkin) are valuable nutrients that support the removal of toxic overgrowth. Herbs like milk thistle, burdock, chicory, and dandelion also help with liver function, allowing liver cells to regenerate. It’s especially important to support your liver with nutrients like beta-glucan and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) when your body shows signs of chronic stress.
There are many ways that fungus can affect our skin and its appearance, leading to discomfort and self-consciousness. Topical nascent Iodine is excellent for addressing ringworm and can be taken internally for candida overgrowth in the digestive tract. Olive oil (great for hydration) and olive leaf extract (which contains antioxidants) offer great benefits in skincare. Grass-fed tallow can be especially helpful for people with sensitive skin or eczema. Essential oils (lavender, tea tree, oregano, and geranium) can be combined with a carrier oil and applied topically for foot fungus, and Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) are great in a foot bath. (8)

Final Thoughts

There’s a spiritual aspect to yeast and fatigue. In the Bible, yeast is systematically compared to sin, and the sin of overindulgence can lead to discomfort and low energy. Our bodies can be hijacked by cravings that originate from parasites.

The remedy is prayer, fasting, drinking pure water, eating clean food, and living in nature. It requires us to cultivate self-control and awareness of our bodies.
